Social Organizations, Associations, and Clubs in Tri-Cities Washington
A directory of social organizations, associations, and clubs in the Tri-Cities is provided that is targeted more towards the adult community. This directory includes beer & wine associations, Meetup, over 50 clubs, outdoor recreation clubs, and traditional arts & music associations. Membership in these groups is open to the public and some require registration and/or a membership fee.
Beer and Wine Associations
The Mid-Columbia Zymurgy Association (MCZA) was created to disseminate information about the techniques of creating good homebrewed beer, mead and wine. This group meets the third Thursday of every month at Ice Harbor Brewery in Kennewick.
The Tri-Cities Wine Society is a non-profit organization that
hosts monthly educationally focused wine-tasting events for its members and their guests in a casual and relaxed atmosphere.

The following are some of the Meetup groups that exist in the Tri-Cities.
Around Town Tri-Cities is an active group of Tri-City residents seeking to
network with other area singles and families with weekly activities for the kids, Moms, Dads, Parents, the whole Family!
You must join before you can see the membership list, event calendar, etc.
Hot Mamas Meetup in the Tri-Cities is made up
mostly of moms who stay at home or work from home. They try to schedule a free or low-cost meetup at least
once a week and a night out about once a month. It's a great chance for moms to get together and make new friends for themselves
or their children.
The Inter-Mountain Alpine Club has been in existence in the Tri-Cities since
1948 to encourage the enjoyment of the outdoors and to promote hiking, mountain climbing, and other activities. Also, visit their main

Scrapbook Friends is a place for Scrapbooker's & Stamper's to come together to
share their love of Paper Crafting! You must join before you can see the membership list, event calendar, etc.
The Three Rivers Newcomers Club is a nonprofit women's organization in Tri-Cities
that helps new residents become better acquainted with local resources and meet other newcomers through a variety of social activities
and special interest groups. Check out their activity calendar.
Tri-Cities Singles Over 50 (TCSOF) members plan several social
activities each week (dinners, coffee get togethers, plays, whatever). After joining, members have easy access to the group calendar
and activity details. Note: Kosmos Over 50 Singles is another active group of singles
over 50 in the Tri-Cities.
Tri-City Friends provides a relaxed and welcoming environment for meeting new people,
married and single, from all age groups and various walks of life. Join them for some great conversation and fun activities
(dinners, coffee get togethers, bike rides, hikes, plays, shows, dancing, picnics, whatever).
Tri-City Vision Seekers Book Club is a down to earth, friendly group of people who
take a particular interest in personal and spiritual growth. This book club is an open group to anyone wishing to attend.
The goal of the Tri-Cities Sport and Social Club (TC-SSC) is to find engaging, interactive local events and
activities that people enjoy. Through those events, they hope to share the opportunities, restaurants, landmarks, and the natural perks of
the Tri-Cities. Note: must be 21+ to join.

Outdoor Clubs
Biking
The Tri-City Bicycle Club attracts adult riders of various ages and riding abilities. They are a "touring" club, meaning the emphasis is on the joy and adventure of cycling, not competition.
Bird Watching
The Lower Columbian Basin Audubon Society engages in various bird censuses, field trips, and education programs.You can take a guided bird walk on Bateman Island on (typically) the first Saturday of each month, September through June.
Fun, Fit & Over 50 Club provides a wide variety of physical, intellectual, and social
activities for those over 50 for all seasons--Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.
Fishing & Hunting

There are several fishing and hunting clubs in the Tri-Cities that include:
- Columbia Basin Bass Club (Tri-Cities), established in 1971, is Washington State's largest family-oriented bass club.
- Columbia Basin Fly Casters (Tri-Cities) is a fly fishing club that was established in 1978.
- Columbia Basin Chapter of Quail Forever (Tri-Cities) is engaged in upland game bird hunting and the preservation of habitats for California Valley and Mountain Quail.
- Richland Rod & Gun Club is an organized group of hunters, fishermen, and conservationists who share a common interest in the outdoors.
- Tri-City River Runners is an organized group of bass fisherman who primarily fish the Columbia and Snake Rivers. They are also heavy participants in bass tournaments in this region.

Horseback Trail Riding
There are two Backcountry Horsemen of Washingtion chapters in the Tri-Cities area that offer horseback trail riding opportunities:
- Purple Sage Riders (PSR) - Tri-Cities
- Rattlesnake Ridge Riders (RRR) - Benton City
Kayaking
Desert Kayak & Canoe Club engages in whitewater-kayaking, sea-kayaking, canoeing, and rafting activities.
Scuba Diving
Diving the beautiful waters of eastern Washington since 1960, the Atomic Ducks Dive Club consists of scuba divers from Richland, Kennewick, Pasco, Walla Walla, as well as Oregon and Idaho.
Snow Skiing

The Desert Ski Club is the Ski & Snowboard Club of the Tri Cities. This club has evolved into a year around Sports and Social Activities Club for singles & couples.
Traditional Arts & Music Associations
Columbia River Chordsmen
The Columbia River Chordsmen deliver performances in original American art-form called "barbershop". They welcome visitors, especially those who think they might like to join them in song. If you can carry a tune and enjoy singing, chances are you will fit right in.
International Folk Dancers of Richland
The International Fold Dancers of Richland has been around for over 50 years. This group performs traditional folk dances from the Philippines, South America, Europe, Japan, and more. If you are interested in joining this group then attend one of their meetings on Thursdays from 7:30 to 8 p.m. at the Richland Community Center. Mid-Columbia Bluegrass Music Association
Members of the Mid-Columbia Bluegrass Music Association play and listen to folk music, blues, old time Appalachian, fiddle tunes, but mostly Bluegrass. In addition, they host an open acoustic music jam every Tuesday and a Bluegrass jam on the first Thursday of the month. They invite visitors to listen to them play and invite newcomers who play an acoustic instrument to jam with them.
Quilting & Fiber Arts
The White Bluffs Center for Quilting & Fiber Arts is both a museum and a support organization for all the quilting, weaving, spinning and basketry guilds and groups located in Eastern Washington State. Partner organizations include: South Eastern Washington Quilters (SEW-Q) and the Tri-City Quilters' Guild. So if you have an interest in quilting and fiber arts then you are encouraged to attend classes and/or become a member. Visitors are always welcome.
Rolling Hills Chorus
The Rolling Hills Chorus of Sweet Adelines International deliver performances in original American art-form called "barbershop". Visitors and prospective members are welcome at any rehearsal!
Three Rivers Dulcimer Society
The Three Rivers Dulcimer Society was formed in March 2003 to promote the playing and listening of Appalachian mountain dulcimers. They welcome visitors to come jam with them and learn to play an instrument.
